Girls’ Night Out – May 18th 6:00 – 9:00 PM
May 18 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
It’s time to put away your winter coats, winter scarves and winter blues, and kick up your heels with your best girlfriends. That’s right, it’s what we’ve all been waiting for- Boonsboro’s Girls’ Night Out!
At Gifts Inn Boonsboro we’ve got some super special treats in store for you, above and beyond the bubbly and snacks. I’m talking about our entrancing featured artists, Ella Newkirk and Chris Willems.
Ella is a fascinating lady with a fascinating history. An artist from an early age, with a National Scholastic Art Award and a full scholarship to the Corcoran School of Art, she has shown nationally as well as locally. But at the age of twenty she was struck by lightning, and while pondering the metaphysical implications of her near-death experience she realized that she could see faces in stone. Her pen and ink work went on hiatus as she began using her empathetic touch to entice the spirit of the stones into view. Now her story stones, listening stones, bright idea masks and guardian jewelry have been sent all over the world, bringing comfort, healing and joy to those who recognize their divine gifts. Cancer wards, hospices and birthing centers have all benefited from the presence of these entirely unique little treasures. Come by and meet enchanting Ella and let her introduce you to her beloved stone people.
Chris Willems is a self-employed artist, wife and mother who has been designing nature-inspired jewelry for over a dozen years. Her passion for the natural world, especially stones, led her to the creation of her Urthstone bracelets, necklaces and earrings which combine crystals and gems that reflect Mother Nature’s overwhelming palette. If you love the colors of earth, sea and sky, you will fall hard for Urthstone. You will thoroughly enjoy listening to her discuss her heartfelt craft.
